Sample kiosk at Walmart!?

Have you seen this thing!?

My local Walmart had a kiosk called "Sample It". Sorry for the blurry picture... I was trying to be inconspicuous!   Hehe.  If you'd like, you can see a better one at SampleIt.com.

Basically, you buy samples from various categories and you get coupons that offset the price of the samples.  Most samples are only $1.

For Mother's Day, this kiosk was advertising free fragrance samples.

You just touch the screen to start and pick a category. My kiosk has skincare, hair, fragrance, cosmetics, and health and wellness.  After adding THREE free fragrances, I browsed the other samples and found Rimmel's Fix and Perfect Primer for $1! I was excited!

Rimmel's Stay Matte foundation is my favorite I've found so far, so I already wanted to try a Rimmel primer. I touched the button to proceed to checkout and felt that nerdy rush of adrenaline you get from an awesome deal. Lol!

Do you see this!?    :)    I'm a sucker for a good touchscreen!  Lol!

The three fragrance samples were:
- Red by Giorgio
- Fantasy by Britney Spears
- Someday by Justin Bieber

It also said I was getting 8 coupons worth $34.

There are no taxes, so it was $1 even. I entered my cash and waited for the samples to drop. This is where the unexpected coolness comes into play.

A little door opens at the bottom and you see pink glowing light as a platform ascends with a little black bag.

This was just for one sample! I got to go through this process 4 times! Haha!

So cute!

Then the coupons printed out.

Not shown here is a coupon for $2 off any full size Rimmel product. I used it to buy another shade of Stay Matte foundation. I plan on mixing the two to get a better match for my skin. You can see I also got a coupon for $2 off the primer if I decide to buy it.

With fragrance, I have a really hard time finding scents that don't "go bad" on my skin. After a short time, most perfume starts to smell funky on me. Samples like this give me a chance to try when it's convenient. When I'm in Sephora, I usually already have my own perfume on (Princess by Vera Wang).

I'll post a review of the primer once I've tried it. Here is a picture to give you an idea of the size.

Pretty decent size for the price, in my opinion. Especially considering everything else I got.

If you've seen these, I'd love to hear about your experiences.
